2. Liepāja Puppet Theatre
One of the main goals of Liepāja Puppet Theatre is to provide cultural education for children and young people, shaping them into demanding, intelligent and knowledgeable consumers of culture. The theatre uses both classical stick and rod&arm puppets, concert puppets and marionettes in its performances.
In recent years, due to the development of the puppet industry, as well as consumer preferences, attitudes and perceptions, live-action portrayals have been used in performances. Each performance contains a lesson and will be remembered by children and young people for longer through the visual material.
In addition to the performances, the Puppet Theatre offers its viewers a tour - "Discover the secrets of the puppet kingdom!". The excursion offers the opportunity to learn the secrets of the profession of puppet actors, as well as to take on the role of an actor and look behind the scenes of the creation of a performance in the mysterious world of puppets.
