Licensed fishing

Fishing in Lake Liepaja and Trade channel area from the New bridge to Tram bridge is allowed only with permit cards.

Licensed fishing is supervised by the association “Liepajas ezeri” authorised in city of Liepaja, Grobina and Nica districts.

from the bank, while observing 10 m mooring lane, from a motorboat, which is registered in accordance with the applicable legislation, or from ice,
fishing from boats and motorboats is only allowed during day-time, not before an hour until sunrise and not later than an hour after sunset.

lure fishing from bank or by wading in the water, from 1st of March to 30th of April,
it is forbidden to fish and lure-fish on the ship route from Atteka isle to mouth of river Barta at 50 m distance on both sides from the marked navigation line,
underwater hunting and crayfishing,
it is forbidden for children of up to 14 years of age to fish from a motorboat and up to 12 years of age from paddle boat without adult supervision,
fishing, performing of economic activities and other activities from 15th of March to 20th of June.

Day-licence for fishing from banks or ice. For period from the 1st of June to the 30th of April. Price: 3 EUR.
Day-licence for fishing from a boat or motorboat. From the 1st of June to the 1st of March (in absence of ice). Price: 3 EUR.
Day-licence for fishing from banks, boats or motorboats. From the 1st of May to the 31st of May. Price: 4.50 EUR.
Summer season licence for fishing from banks, boats or motorboats. For period from the 1st of June to the 31st of October. Price: 11.50 EUR.
Yearly fishing licence. Price: 20 EUR.
- children under 16 years of age, persons older than 65 years of age, disabled and politically repressed persons after presentation of personal identification documents, disabled person card or politically repressed person card,
- Owners of coastal land near Lake Liepaja and their family members, families with multiple children living in Liepaja city, Nica and Grobina districts, and financially disadvantaged residents
