Liepāja Theatre has just premiered the play "Grimm" by Elmārs Seņkovs! Congratulations with the audience's ovation and the great result!
"Grimm" is the second of the planned trilogy of plays by E. Seņkovs at Liepāja Theatre, which will continue the search for aesthetics - cynicism, joy of play and blood already started in "Shakespeare".
How to live in a world of horror? How to remain decent when you are being mistreated? The darkness of night can be broken by the light of day, but who can break the darkness of man? Fairy tales end happily, but we must get through the middle part ourselves.
The director reflects on the fact that the world has become too complicated and those recent events, especially in our neighbouring Ukraine, lead us to believe that human nature does not change. But the most important question is how to live after the horrors and what kind of world we will create in these difficult times. And it is sometimes in fairy tales that the real answer is hidden, and most of the time the ending is happy. At least for the brave ones who believe in the good. And decency is such a great value these days!
